Refund Policy
Effective 1 July 2026 · Version 1.0
This policy explains when and how PowerFAST issues refunds — covering the security deposit, rental charges and disputed payments.
1. How payments work
All payments are processed entirely by licensed third-party payment providers. Card details are entered on the provider's secure pages and never reach PowerFAST servers — we never see or store full card numbers. Refunds are likewise issued through the same providers.
2. Security deposit
A refundable security deposit of EGP 300 is held when you activate the service. When you close your account — after returning any active rentals and settling outstanding fees — the deposit is refunded in full to your original payment method within 14 business days. Any unused wallet balance is refunded together with the deposit.
3. Rental charges
Rentals are charged by elapsed time at the rate of the battery you choose — Standard or Fast Charge (premium). The exact fee rules, including the daily cap, are always shown before you confirm a rental. Once a power bank is returned, correctly billed rental fees are not refundable.
4. Unreturned power banks
If a power bank is not returned, charges accrue until the daily cap is reached, after which the cap is treated as the purchase price and the power bank becomes yours. Amounts charged this way are not refundable.
5. Disputed charges
If you believe a charge is wrong, open the order in Rental History in the app and tap Feedback within 30 days of the charge. Support responds within 48 hours. If the refund is approved, it is issued to your original payment method through our payment provider.
6. Processing times
We instruct the payment provider promptly once a refund is approved. Depending on your bank or wallet, the amount typically appears within 5 to 14 business days.
7. Watts rewards
Watts points and tier perks are a goodwill rewards program, hold no cash value and are not refundable or exchangeable for money.
